I'm a pianist, not a political activist. My revolution is music. My language is music. Music was going to be my form of protest, even if no one heard me.
A pianist caught in the war in Syria rolls his piano out into the streets of his ravaged neighbourhood, and brings music into people's lives at great risk to himself and those he collaborates with: snipers never seem to be afar. Food supplies run low, injuries are common, and staying alive is a challenge but, still, through it all music remains. The pianist himself, once a Palestinian refugee in Syria, becomes a refugee in Germany, a country he manages to reach and, with the help of many friends, later bring his family to after having made a dangerous and tumultuous journey to initially leave Syria alone.
